On December 4, 2019, the USCCE hosted a nationally livestreamed event "Examining Coaching & Coach Education in the United States", bringing together sport leaders from national organizations such as the NCAA, NSCA, and the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, as well as academics in coaching and coaching education studies to discuss the future of coaching and coach education in the United States. The 2019 President's Council on Sport, Nutrition & Fitness Listening Day
On April 4, 2019, the President's Council on Sport, Nutrition and Fitness hosted a national listening day in support of their development of a National Youth Sport Strategy that was video taped as part of a five part series. In Part 2, Dr. Maureen Weiss and Dr. Dan Gould's provide an excellent overview on youth sport in America. In part five of the listening session, USCCE was invited to speak about their work and the importance of quality coaching education systems for quality sports experiences. Watch both below.
